The visit included a comprehensive review of the station’s operational procedures, complaint redressal mechanisms, and patrolling strategies.

The visit was held under the supervision of Sri Chandra Mohan, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South West Zone, and was attended by all Zonal ACPs and Inspectors. The leadership emphasized transparent policing and efficient grievance handling.
Background and Jurisdictional Reorganization
The Tolichowki Police Station (L&O) was officially created through G.O.Ms.No: 32, Home (Legal) Department, dated 30-04-2023, by reorganizing and bifurcating specific areas from Golconda, Mehdipatnam, and Film Nagar police stations to improve law and order coverage in the growing region.
The formation of Tolichowki Police Station has led to a more focused and accessible policing framework for residents in one of Hyderabad’s most densely populated and diverse areas.
Operational Setup
The newly commissioned police station is strategically divided into four sectors, each with designated Blue Colts teams and patrolling vehicles, ensuring round-the-clock vigilance and rapid response to citizen needs.
Sector-wise details are as follows:
Sector 1: Samatha Colony, SA Colony, Golden Sand Colony, Virat Nagar, Surya Nagar Colony, Adams Colony, Rahul Colony, Aziz Bagh Colony, and areas near Passport Office and 7 Tombs.
Sector 2: Janaki Nagar, Khaja Gulshan Colony, Deluxe and Brindavan Colonies, Hakeempet Kunta, Fatima Nagar, Kohesar Colony, and adjoining stretches of Road No. 86.
Sector 3: Paramount Colony (Gates 1–4), IAS Colony, NSF Colony, Limra X Road, Nizam Colony, and areas approaching Mehdipatnam Flyover.
Sector 4: MD Lines, Akbarpura, Nadeem Colony, Quli Qutub Shah Nagar, Jamali Kunta, Teen Dargah, Valmiki Nagar, and routes leading to Zeeshan Café and Tolichowki Crossroads.
Enhanced Policing and Community Assurance
The Police Commissioner appreciated the proactive efforts of the South West Zone Police in swiftly operationalizing the new station and emphasized the importance of localized patrolling and sector-wise accountability. With modern policing strategies and strong leadership, the new Tolichowki PS is expected to strengthen public trust and bring about improved law enforcement, faster complaint resolution, and better crime prevention.
“The establishment of the Tolichowki Police Station is a strategic move towards bringing policing closer to the people. Our goal is to ensure prompt service, visible patrolling, and efficient complaint handling,” said Sri C.V. Anand, IPS.
