Hyderabad, Telangana, 02 November 2025: In a major success against narcotics trafficking, the Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (HNEW) in coordination with the Masab Tank Police apprehended a drug peddler and seized a huge consignment of narcotic substances worth ₹12 lakh.
Based on credible information, a joint team conducted an operation and arrested Ejaz Ahmed (28 years), a civil contractor residing in Bangalore, who was found in possession of:
* MDMA: 11 grams
* Cocaine: 35 grams
* OG (Hydro Ganja): 5 grams
* Ecstasy Pills: 15 (7.7 grams)
* Cash: ₹1,100/-
* Mobile Phone: 1 unit
A case has been registered at Masab Tank Police Station, Hyderabad.
Modus Operandi:
The accused, a habitual drug user turned peddler, procured narcotic substances from Nigerian suppliers through online networks and distributed them among clients in Hyderabad and Bangalore for financial gains.

The HNEW appeals to citizens—especially youth—to stay away from drug abuse and report any drug-related information to the dedicated helpline 8712661601. Parents are advised to monitor their children’s activities and seek immediate help if signs of substance abuse are noticed.
