Hyderabad, Telangana: In a major blow to drug trafficking networks, the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (HNEW), in close coordination with local police stations including Begum Bazar, Golconda, and Bollaram, has successfully apprehended several drug offenders operating at both interstate and local levels.
This multi-layered operation showcases the relentless vigilance and sharp enforcement efforts of HNEW in protecting Hyderabad’s communities from the rising menace of narcotics.
Key achievements from the operation include:
- 100g of Meow Meow (MD), a country-made pistol with six live rounds, and three mobile phones worth ₹10 lakh were seized from two Rajasthan-based transporters and one local peddler, who is also a POCSO accused.
- A significant haul of 276g cocaine and eight mobile phones valued at ₹69 lakh was seized from four interstate peddlers from Mumbai, one local dealer, and two consumers (Cr. No. 166/2025, NDPS Act).
- From local peddler Harshavardhan @ Harsha, a software professional, the team recovered 10g cocaine, 11 ecstasy pills (6g), and one mobile phone worth ₹3.1 lakh (Cr. No. 118/2025, NDPS Act).
- Additionally, two Nigerian nationals suspected of drug activities were detained in Tolichowki. While no contraband was recovered, deportation procedures have been initiated in coordination with the FRRO to prevent further illegal activities.
These meticulously coordinated operations reflect HNEW’s firm resolve to dismantle drug syndicates, safeguard youth, and maintain public health and order.
