Hyderabad City, Telangana, July 8: In a decisive step to curb the drug menace and ensure national security, the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW), acting on credible intelligence, apprehended four foreign nationals illegally overstaying in India and allegedly involved in drug peddling activities in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
The accused—two from Nigeria, one from Tanzania, and one from Sudan—were found to be in violation of visa norms and in association with known drug offenders.
Accused Details:
Maxwell Anthony Izuchukwu (29), Nigeria
Chinaza Nnanna Vivian alias Ibrahim Niasha (38), Nigeria
Mwajuma Almasi Masisila (30), Tanzania
Ahmed Hamid Abujabr Hamid (27), Sudan
The individuals had entered India on tourist, medical, and student visas, all of which had expired. While no narcotics were seized at the time of arrest, their involvement with drug networks and illegal stay posed a serious concern.
Following their arrest, H-NEW coordinated with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) and respective embassies to initiate their deportation. All four will be permanently blacklisted from re-entering India.
Public Appeal:
The Hyderabad Police urge citizens to stay vigilant and report any drug-related activities. Parents are especially advised to monitor their children’s behavior and social circles to help counter the growing drug threat.
Information can be shared confidentially via H-NEW’s helpline: 8712661601
The Hyderabad City Police reaffirm their commitment to a drug-free society and continue to crack down on illegal narcotics networks with firm resolve.
