Hyderabad, Telangana, Sept 19, 2025: In a swift and commendable action, the Mehdipatnam Police apprehended a chain snatcher within minutes of the crime, showcasing their alertness and efficiency.
Accused Shaik Aleem @ Sonu (30), a resident of Rajendranagar, originally from Maharashtra, was caught while attempting to flee after snatching a gold chain from a woman at the Mehdipatnam Bus Stop.
Acting swiftly, police staff chased and nabbed the accused within 200 meters. A gold chain weighing 15 grams was recovered from his possession. On interrogation, the accused confessed to committing the crime due to personal addictions and greed.
A case has been registered under Crime No. 265/2025 U/S 304(2), 307 BNS, PS Mehdipatnam. Senior officers appreciated the prompt response and effective teamwork of the police staff.
This successful operation once again highlights the Hyderabad Police’s dedication to ensuring public safety and swift justice.
