Indore Police launched a three-day training workshop on Road Safety and Traffic Management

Indore: Indore Police organized three-day training workshop on road safety and traffic management from October 13 to October 15 under Community Participatory Road Safety Program (CPRSP) under the direction of Madhya Pradesh Rural Road Development Authority, Bhopal for prevention of road accidents and for safe and orderly traffic on the road. This is being done for the officers/employees of Indore Police under the direction of Commissioner of Police, Urban Indore Mr. Harinarayanchari Mishra. The event was inaugurated on 13 October at Police Auditorium Rani Sarai Regal Square. In the workshop organized under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime and Headquarters) Indore Mr. Rajesh Hingankar and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime and Headquarters) Mr. Nimish Agrawal, in the presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Headquarters Mr. Pramod Sonkar, Principal constables of various police stations and traffic forces of Indore Inspector level investigation officer should be present.

Guest subject experts from Madhya Pradesh Rural Road Development Authority, Bhopal, Mr. T.K. Rajmohan is a retired Indian Police Service officer and has special experience in police research and safety and management for the last 34 years and Mr. Mudsar Patel is an eminent road safety expert, who has been given the details of road accidents, their prevention methods and their equipment as well as have very good experience about Police and Transport Department. The trainees present by guest subject experts were provided information about better traffic management, actions to be taken for safe traffic on the road, research to be done during road accidents as well as forensic science related to it.

He explained to everyone about the rules and new provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act, as well as the legal aspects necessary for the police. Elaborating on various equipment such as speed radar guns, breath analyzer machines, online electronic challan making devices, etc., equipped with modern technologies for the prevention of road accidents, use of helmets/seat belts, while driving vehicles. Along with legal action for not talking on mobile, not driving at over speed and following all traffic rules, he also stressed on the need to make common citizens aware about this continuously.

On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr. Pramod Sonkar told all the police personnel to follow the traffic rules and to drive the vehicle themselves and also to explain to the common citizens and take action. He said that in these increasing road accidents, how we can try to prevent them by taking better action, always be ready for this. The workshop was successfully conducted by Sub-Inspector Mr. Shivam Thakkar.
