Kozhikode, Kerala: In a major breakthrough against narcotics trafficking, the Kerala Police, in coordination with the Delhi and Haryana Police, unearthed a clandestine drug production centre in Gurugram, Haryana—the first such discovery of kitchens manufacturing synthetic drugs.
The investigation began in February, when the Kozhikode Town Police arrested a Malappuram native from Pudukkot with 778 grams of MDMA intended for sale. During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused had procured the contraband from a Nigerian national and had transferred money to two others, who withdrew it in Delhi and Haryana. Based on intelligence inputs, Kerala Police shared the suspects’ location with Haryana Police, leading to a coordinated raid.
