Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, July 9: Demonstrating prompt action and effective investigation, the Kelamangalam Police have arrested two individuals involved in the theft of copper wire from an agricultural field in Lakshmipuram village, located within Krishnagiri district.
The incident came to light when a local farmer, Ravi, discovered that nearly 300 meters of copper wire—connecting his motor room to the irrigation pump—had been stolen during the early hours of July 7. Acting on his complaint, police swiftly registered a case and launched an investigation.
Thanks to their diligent efforts, two suspects were identified, apprehended, and subsequently remanded to judicial custody. The police’s timely response has been widely appreciated by the local farming community for ensuring justice and preventing further thefts in the area.
