Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu: In a significant step towards ensuring justice for victims of sexual crimes, the Krishnagiri Fast Track Mahila Court has sentenced a convict to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a ₹3,000 fine in connection with a sexual assault case registered at the Krishnagiri All Women Police Station.
The judgment was delivered on 12.08.2025, following diligent investigation and prosecution efforts by the police. After sentencing, the convict was lodged in Salem Central Jail to serve the term.
Police officials reaffirmed their commitment to protecting women’s safety and bringing offenders to justice without delay.
