Malkajgiri Zone, Rachakonda Police apprehended three persons for printing Fake Indian Currency Notes

Rachakonda: On tip-off information, the sleuths of SOT, Malkajgiri Zone, Rachakonda apprehended a gang of three members indulging in preparing fake currency denominations of 500 notes for circulating into the market. The police officers seized a printer cum scanner, Ten Lakhs fake currency notes, and three Mobile phones from the possession of the accused. A case was registered with Cr.No. 416/2020, U/S 420,489 (A)(B)(C)(D(E), 120(B) IPC of Ghatkesar Police Station.

  1. Karam Nagendra Prasad s/o Balakrishna, age:30 years, occ: private employee, R/o H.no: 2-7-27. Ramnagar, Sangareddy.
  2. Bandari Goutham @ Ramu s/o Vishnu Kumar age: 29 years, occ: Private employee, R/o H.no: 2-7-44/C, Ramnagar, Sangareddy
  3. Tubbakula Naresh s/o Malkaiah, age:25 years occ: Driver R/o H.no: 2 7-64 Rammandir, near old bus stand, Sangareddy.

The Modus Operandi of the accused is as follows:

Three members gang from the Sangareddy area with a criminal conspiracy planned to print the duplicate fake currency notes of denominations of Rs.500/- for circulating into the market. They procured one color Printer cum Scanner, paper bundle, scissors and by placing the original currency note in the scanner machine and printing the color copies using a printer and cutting the copies to similar dimensions of original notes with the help of scissors and making them into a bundle of 100 notes of 500 denomination currency fake notes.

The main kingpin Karam Nagendra Prasad hatched a plan in connivance with his associates Bandari Goutham alias Ramu, Tubbakula Naresh all residents of Sangareddy with a criminal intension of circulating fake notes as genuine currency and were printed in the house of Gowtham.

The gang members through their source contacted their agents with an agreement of 1:5 ratio of original currency and prepare fake 500 denomination notes with the help of a scanner cum printer and they mostly deliver fake currency to their agents. Who in turn supplies it to their source by taking a commission and this fake currency Xerox copy notes are circulated by mixing in the genuine notes bundles and mostly during night time in crowded places to cheat the vendors. The above gang members were also previously arrested by Hyderabad police.

On 13-09-2020 late night hours on receiving credible information, the SOT Malkajgiri team along with Ghatkesar police apprehended the 3 members gang while they were at Ghatkesar and proceeding to deliver fake currency to their agents and found a Total of Rs.1000000 /- fake currency of 500 notes denomination bundles in their possession and later seized printer cum scanner, scissors, and 3 mobiles.

The above arrests were made under the supervision of Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS., Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, Mr. G.Sudheer Babu, IPS, Addl. Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, Ms. Rakshitha Murthy, IPS., Dy. Commissioner of Police, Malkajgiri Zone, and under the guidance of Mr. J.Surender Reddy, Addl. Dy.Commissioner of Police, Special Operations Team, Rachakonda, Mr. Y. Narsimha Reddy, ACP Malkajgiri by Mr. G.Naveen Kumar, Inspector SOT, Mr. Chandrababu. Inspector of Police Ghatkesar Police Station, Mr. G.Srikanth, SI of Police and staff of the Special Operations Team, Malkajgiri zone, and Ghatkesar police of Rachakonda Commissionerate.
