Mannar: While patrolling on Tuesday night, the Mannar police arrested two people who came with stolen goods. In Kayamkulam second kuti Pantaplavil, Jalaluddin’s son Siddhik (40) was arrested in Katanam Ilipappakulam Thatal, Mohammad Ilyas (29), son of Basheer in Vakkaketil. It was common for materials used for road construction to be stolen from Tiruvalla side.
The iron sheet required for the construction of road culvert was stolen from near Podiyadi Manipuzha Bridge last night. The Pulikkeez police gave the information to Mannar Police Station and the information was forwarded to Inspector SHO Mr. G. Suresh Kumar who received the information that it was taken away in a vehicle.
Based on this, during the vehicle inspection conducted at Mannar Thattarambalam road in Iramathur side, the auto police caught Ape Petti after showing his hand and left without stopping. SI Mr. John Thomas and Civil Police Officer Mr. Siddique ul Akbar, who were on night patrol duty, caught the thieves in the middle of the night. Later, the accused and the vehicle were handed over to Pulikkeez police.
