Anakapalli, Andhra Pradesh: Hon’ble State Home Minister Smt. Vangalapudi Anitha Garu laid the foundation stone for the new state-of-the-art police station at Nakkapalli, marking a major step towards strengthening public safety and police services in Anakapalli District.
Speaking on the occasion, the Hon’ble Home Minister highlighted key initiatives of the State Government, including the “Eagle System” for eradicating ganja, large-scale installation of CCTV cameras across Andhra Pradesh, and the effective use of the Shakti App to enhance women’s safety. She affirmed that the Government’s foremost priority remains ensuring security and assurance for women. She further announced the implementation of WhatsApp Governance in the Police Department to improve transparency and accessibility. She proudly stated that Andhra Pradesh now ranks 2nd in the nation in maintaining Law & Order, with continuous efforts underway to achieve greater progress.
Director General of Police Shri Harish Kumar Gupta, IPS, expressed gratitude to the Hetero Group, whose Chairman Shri Bandi Parthasaradhi Reddy Garu extended generous CSR support for the construction. The modern police station, being built at a cost of ₹2.5 Crore, is designed to provide citizen-friendly infrastructure and deliver faster, more efficient services to the public.
The event was attended by DIG Shri Gopinath Jetty, IPS, SP Shri Tuhin Sinha, IPS, senior police officers, and staff, who reaffirmed their commitment to serving the people with dedication.
The establishment of this modern facility is yet another milestone in Andhra Pradesh Police’s mission to ensure safety, trust, and effective policing for all.
