Rachakonda: The Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mr.Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat IPS., flagged off 10 k Run at Uppal on Sunday. The run was organized by Rachakonda police in association with Hetch Foundation and sponsored by GSR Constructions. The run was held from Uppal Cross Roads to Alkapuri Cross Roads (to-and-fro) covering a stretch of 10kms. This Run was organized with an aim to create awareness and precautionary measures for COVID-19. Around 3000 enthusiastic runners including police personnel voluntarily participated in this Run. During the speech Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS emphasized precautionary measures to be followed during this COVID-19 pandemic and charity activities undertaken by Hetch Foundation during this peak pandemic.
The Chief Guest Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwath, IPS flagged off the run at Uppal Cross Roads and also personally participated in the run. The run was successfully completed by maintaining social distance and following all SOPs concerning COVID-19. “H10k Run” has also emphasized educating participants about the importance of following traffic rules.
The Winners of the H10k Run are Ms.V. Navya under the special category, Ms. Rashika under the Women open category, and Mr.R Ramesh Chandra under the Men open category receiving cheque reward of Rs.15,000/- each.
First Runners up of H10k Run are Master Vignesh under a special category, Ms. Ujwala. Y under Women open category and Mr. J Sikandar under Men open category receiving cheque reward of Rs.10,000/- each followed by Second Runners up are Master Venkat Reddy under a special category, Ms. Akhila under Women open category and Mr. D Ramesh under Men open category receiving cheque reward of Rs.7,500/- each
Reward cheques to the winners were awarded by Mr. G. Sudheer Babu, IPS Addl. Commissioner of Police Rachakonda, Ms. Rakshita Murthy, IPS DCP Malkajgiri, Mr. Sunpreet Singh IPS, DCP LB Nagar, Mr. Mohammed Tajuddin Ahmed in charge DCP Traffic Rachakonda.
CP RACHAKONDA has appealed to citizens to follow preventive measures such as SOCIAL DISTANCING, MASK USE, and SANITIZING HANDS.
