Mysuru City, Karnataka (16.06.2025): Under the leadership of Police Commissioner Smt. Seema Latkar, IPS, a comprehensive crime review meeting was convened with officers from all police stations across Mysuru City. The review focused on the progress of ongoing investigations, case disposal status, and preparations for maintaining law and order in the coming weeks.
A key agenda of the meeting was the planning of security arrangements for Ashada Friday at Chamundi Hills, which annually sees a large influx of devotees. Given the significance of the event and the expected crowds, strategic planning is underway to ensure seamless crowd management, enhanced surveillance, and public safety.
Deputy Commissioners of Police, Shri Muthuraju M, IPS (Law & Order) and Shri Sundar Raj K.S. (Crime & Traffic), also participated in the meeting, contributing inputs on inter-departmental coordination, traffic diversion plans, and security deployment strategies.
Commissioner Seema Latkar emphasized the importance of proactive policing, quick disposal of pending cases, and the need for heightened preparedness ahead of Ashada Fridays. Officers were directed to step up patrolling, enhance public engagement, and ensure visibility on the ground.
