Siliguri: Today 18.1.22 acting on credible input team SOG SPC and Officers of Ambari Falakata Out Post, NJP Police Station intercepted one Oil Tanker at Bandhunagar on NH 31D.
On search of the said Oil Tanker observing the formalities laid down under the NDPS Act 14 packets of Ganja weighing 400 kilograms were recovered from the said vehicle which was kept concealed in the compartment of the tank.
The illegal consignment was being transported from Assam to Bihar in the Oil Tanker being driven by one Bikash Ray of Sitalpur, Bihar.
The accused driver has been arrested and a specific case under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused driver and others at NJP Police Station.
