Pathanamthitta, Kerala: District Police Chief Sri Anand R., IPS, felicitated the dedicated investigation team that successfully traced and rescued a missing woman and her two daughters from Pulikeezhu Police Station limits. The trio, who had gone missing from Niranam on August 17, were found safe in Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu, after an intensive 55-day search operation.
Following the disappearance, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by Thiruvalla DySP S. Nandakumar was formed under the direction of the District Police Chief. The team conducted extensive searches across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh, coordinating with police units in multiple states.
A major breakthrough came when lookout notices were issued in several languages, which helped in locating the missing persons at a security shelter in Nagercoil. After being safely brought back, the woman and her children were rehabilitated in a secure center.
The District Police Chief praised the commitment, coordination, and persistence of the investigation team, commending them for their professionalism and humane approach in ensuring the family’s safe return.
