Rachakonda: Acting on specific information, the sleuths of Hayathnagar police along with Special Operations Team (SOT), LB Nagar Zone busted an interstate drug syndicate by apprehending two interstate drug peddlers namely Shivaji Chowhan(43) s/o Babu Chowhan, and Shivaji Chowhan(20) s/o Pundlike, and seized 358 Kilograms of Contraband Ganja, One Toyota Innova Car Three Mobile Phones and net cash of Rs.1300/- all worth Rs.87,01,300/-from their possession. A case was registered at Hayath Nagar Police Station of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate.
The absconding accused are Arjun and Mud thanda both of Sanga Reddy district.
The accused Shivaji Chowhan s/o Pundlike, aged 20 yrs, of Sanga Reddy district along with Arjun R/o Shakapur Thanda Zaheerabad have indulged in illegal transportation of Ganja since 2019. They are having good contacts with the Ganja buyers from other states such as Karnataka and Maharashtra. They are procuring Ganja from Agency areas of Maredmilli Agency area of East Godavari of Andhra Pradesh State and other places at cheaper rates and selling the same to the needy customers of other states for higher price. He along with his associate Shivaji Chowhan S/o Babu Chouhan, are involved into the illegal transportation of Ganja and earning easy money.
On 7.5.2022 the accused persons Shivaji Chowhan S/o Pundlike, and Shivaji Chowhan s/o Babu Chowhan went to the interior village of Maredimilli Agency area of East Godavari district, in their Innova car bearing registration No AP09BU2340 and purchased 358 kilograms of (2KGs each 179 packets) contraband substance Ganja from one Dommu resident of Darakonda for Rs.3.000/- per kilogram and the same is intended to supply to needy customers of Mumbai for Rs.20,000/- per kilogram. As per their plan the said vehicle left from Maredimillghat and was preceding towards Mumbai though Hyderabad.
On 10.5.2022 evening hours on tip off information of Hayath Nagar police along with SOT LB Nagar Zone Team intercepted their vehicle at Peddamberpet Bus stop, Hayath Nagar apprehended the accused persons, seized 358 Kilograms of Ganja, Toyota Innova Car bearing registration No. AP09BU2340, Three mobile phones and net Cash Rs 1300/- from their possession.

SOT Rachakonda, Mr. K Purushotham Reddy ACP., Vanasthalipuram, by Mr. H Venkateshwarulu Inspector of Police Hayathnagar Police Station. Mr. B. Anji Reddy, Inspector of Police, SOT-LB Nagar Zone, Mr. R Niranjan DI Hayathnagar, Sub Inspector Mr. AA Raju, and staff of Hayathnagar and SOT, LB Nagar zone, Rachakonda.
