Rachakonda : On 29.11.2022, sleuths of LB Nagar police nabbed a Gang of 8 members who colluded
with each other and formed a Gang in an organized manner to make easy money by tampering and selling of stolen vehicles and recovered 9 stolen Auto Rickshaws all worth Rs. 5.00.000/- at the instance of the accused. A case was registered at LB Nagar Police Station.

On 21.09.2022 at 19:30 hours the police received a complaint from Mr. Ramasani Srihari(40) S/o Sundaraiah, Occ: Auto Driver. R/o. Sriramnagar Colony, Near Ayyappa Temple. Mansoorabad, LB Nagar stating that on 18.09.2022 at 1830 hours he parked his Bajaj Auto Rickshaw Bearing registration No. APIITA0812 in front of his house and went to sleep. In the intevening night of 18/19.09.2022 the accused Mohammad Rizwan alias Ajju and Mohammed Shakeel came to Sriram Nagar Colony, Mansoorabad with intention to commit theft of Auto Rickshaw and while moving by foot when they reached near Ayyappa swamy Temple they found the aforesaid Auto rickshaw as without lock and committed the theft. Later on 19-09-2022 at around 06:30 hours the complainant woke up and found that his Auto was missing in front of his house. After searching surroundings and caused enquiry with locality he realized that his Auto was stolen by unknown persons. Hence he requested to take necessary action.
Background of the accused:
The accused Mohd Wazid Ahmed is an Auto driver by profession for past 30 years, resident of Vattepally. He is mastermind of the entire plan who formed a Gang of 8 Members in an organized manner to make easy money by selling stolen Auto Rickshaws at higher price to needy customers after making tampered stolen Chassis and Engine numbers with scrapped Vehicle Chassis and Engine numbers. The accused Mohd Saleem Ali is a professional in Auto welding and denting work, who has specialized in making of vehicle Engine and Chassis numbers tampering. The accused Mohammed Rasheed is a School Bus driver who well experienced and good network in the scarp business, he procures the original RC documents of scrapped vehicles from various places with intention to use them fraudulently. The accused Amjad Khan is a RTA Agent at Vikarabad RTA office by profession who manage with RTA officials to get transfer of vehicle registration / permit/validation of tampered stolen vehicles by creating fake address proofs on commission basis by cheating RTA Officials. The accused Mohammed Rizwan alias Ajju and Mohammed Shakeel are habitual offenders and childhood friends by staying in same locality at Malakpet. Earlier they worked as Auto mechanic and then presently Mohammad Rizwan alias Ajju is doing Auto dealing Business and Mohammed Shakeel is working as Auto driver. Few days ago they were arrested by Neredmet Police in similar cases, but they didn’t disclose about these cases. They decided to commit thefts of Auto Rickshaw to make easy money by selling them to Mohd Wazid Ahmed. The accused Hyder Hussain and Syed Muneer Ali are Auto Mechanics, running their own work shop at Moghalpur Area who well known Mohd Wazid Ahmed and Mohd Saleem Ali and they assist to Mohd Saleem Ali in making of vehicle tampering and modification of the stolen vehicle on commission basis.
Modus operandi:
The accused Mohammed Rasheed procures original RC Papers of scrapped vehicle from various place and sell to Mohd Wazid Ahmed for Rs. 10.000/- each one. After that Mohd Wazid Ahmed asks to Mohammad Rizwan alias Ajju and Mohammed Shakeel to commit theft of Auto Rickshaw. On instigating by Mohd Wazid Ahmed, the accused Mohammed Rizwan alias Ajju and Mohammed Shakeel moves by foot in residential Areas during the night hours and they targets Auto Rickshaw which handle not locked. After committing theft they sell to Mohd Wazid Ahmed for Rs.20,000/- each stolen Auto. thereafter Mohd Wazid Ahmed hand over the stolen Auto along with original RC Papers of scrapped Auto to Mohd Saleem Ali. Hyder Hussain and Syed Muneer Ali for tampering. Later Mohd Saleem Ali with help of Hyder Hussain and Syed Muneer Ali erase the original number by using Electric Hand Grinder Machine and tamper the stolen vehicle Chassis and Engine number with scrapped vehicle chassis and engine number by using Metal Number and Alphabet Paunch Tool Kit for getting Rs. 10.000/- for each one. After completion of tampering work Amjad Khan collects them along with document through to get transfer of vehicle registration/permit/validation by creating fake residential address proofs. After legitimating with RTA, they sale them as genuine Auto Rickshaw to needy customers at higher price or use them for their personal by running on daily rented basis as genuine Auto rickshaw.
The accused was arrested and the case is being investigated under the direct supervision of Commissioner of Police. Rachakonda Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat IPS Addl. Commissioner of Police. Rachakonda Mr. G Sudheer Babu. DCP LB Nagar Mr. Sunpreet Singh, ACP LB Nagar Mr. P Sreedhar Reddy. The Commissioner of Police appreciated Inspector of Police, LB Nagar Mr. B. Anjireddy. Detective Inspector of police, LB Nagar Mr. B. Upender Rao and Detective Sub-Inspectors of Police. LB Nagar and Crime Staff of LB Nagar for arresting the accused instantaneously.
