Haryana, Fatehabad | May 6: In line with the ongoing anti-drug campaign launched under the directives of Superintendent of Police Sidhant Jain, IPS, the Ratia Police have arrested a youth in possession of heroin.
The arrested individual has been identified as Rajendra Singh, son of Gurcharan Singh, a native of Todarpur, District Mansa, currently residing in Alalwas.
Station House Officer SI Ranjit Singh of Ratia City Police Station reported that a police team, led by ASI Jatinder Singh, was conducting routine patrol duties aimed at intercepting criminal activity. While patrolling near Kamana Road in village Ratangarh, the team noticed a suspicious youth on a motorcycle without a number plate. On spotting the police, he attempted to evade the team.
The man was stopped and questioned, during which he identified himself as Rajendra Singh. A search led to the recovery of 5.50 grams of heroin. He was immediately arrested, and a case has been registered against him under relevant sections of the NDPS Act at Ratia City Police Station.
The Fatehabad Police have reaffirmed their commitment to cracking down on narcotics-related offenses across the district.
