Hyderabad, Telangana: In a swift and effective operation, Saifabad Police, in coordination with the Central Crime Station (CCS) Hyderabad, arrested two offenders involved in a servant theft case and successfully recovered gold and diamond jewellery worth ₹1.5 crore.
The theft occurred on 05.09.2025 at Vijay Shankar Lal Jewellers, Basheerbagh, and a complaint was registered on 07.09.2025. Acting on credible intelligence, police teams apprehended the accused near Nampally Railway Station on 11.09.2025, recovering 173 ornaments weighing about 850 grams, all intact.
The arrested individuals were identified as:
*Ronak Chadawa (24), a marketing executive with Shanaya Diamonds, Mumbai
* Mohd. Hasnain Habiya (22), a student from Mumbai
Investigations revealed that both had suffered heavy losses in IPL betting and conspired to commit the theft due to financial distress.
Police have issued an advisory to jewellery merchants to strictly verify employee antecedents and urged the public to remain vigilant, safeguard valuables, and report suspicious activity via Dial 100.
This successful recovery once again highlights the efficiency, vigilance, and swift response of Hyderabad City Police in protecting citizens and property.
