Namakkal, Tamil Nadu: At the 68th State-Level Police Aptitude Test Competition – 2024, held in Chennai, Namakkal District’s Detective Sniffer Dog ‘Diana’ showcased exceptional skill and secured second place in the Bomb Detection Unit category.
Recognizing this remarkable achievement, the Director General of Police awarded Diana with a silver medal and certificate of appreciation on July 2, 2025.
Further celebrating the honour, Namakkal District Superintendent of Police Shri S. Rajes Kannan, IPS, personally congratulated the canine and its handler on July 3, 2025, for their outstanding performance and contribution to public safety.
This recognition highlights the efficiency and rigorous training of the Namakkal Police Dog Squad and reinforces their critical role in maintaining security and readiness.
