Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh: The Ganesh immersion festival in Srikakulam district was conducted peacefully and with full devotion, thanks to the effective security measures and careful planning of the district police. Acting on the directions of District SP Sri K.V. Maheshwara Reddy, IPS, the police ensured smooth traffic management, disciplined processions, and safe idol immersions across the district.
Strict regulations were enforced to maintain a traditional and devotional atmosphere. Processions were carried out in an orderly manner without the use of DJs or sound systems, reflecting cultural reverence and harmony. Police personnel, along with senior officers, were deployed in large numbers to oversee the festivities and provide assistance to devotees.
Special attention was given to crowd control, traffic regulation, and safety during immersions. At designated immersion points, state-of-the-art cranes were used to carefully and efficiently lower Ganesh idols into the water, ensuring safety and preventing accidents.
