Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka: In a commendable community outreach initiative, the Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) of Tarikere Police Station visited the Government Girls’ Pre-University College in Tarikere to educate and empower young students on key safety and social concerns.
During the interactive session, the officer sensitized students about the rising threat of cybercrimes, provisions of the POCSO Act, the dangers of child marriage, and the harmful effects of drug abuse. The session also highlighted the importance of the 112 emergency helpline and the benefits of the door-to-door police system.
This initiative reflects the Tarikere Police’s proactive efforts in building awareness, promoting safety, and strengthening community-police relations among the youth.
