Idukki, Kerala: In a proactive initiative to strengthen community relations and ensure the safety of women and children, Thodupuzha Police Station, Idukki Women Cell, and Thodupuzha Women Helpline jointly visited Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Government Higher Secondary School, Presidency College, and Thodupuzha Market.
During the visit, Thodupuzha Police Station PRO Biju V.A., Idukki Women Cell Assistant Sub-Inspectors Priya Madhusoodanan and Sabita T.I., along with Women Helpline Civil Police Officers Tahira V.A. and Sudheesh Krishnankutty, interacted with students and local residents.
The team explained the services available to women and children, including legal assistance, a safe platform to share concerns directly with the police, and prompt escalation of complaints when necessary. They also emphasized the measures being taken to prevent violence and provide protection at home, workplaces, and public spaces across Idukki district.
This outreach reflects the strong commitment of Idukki Police to build trust, ensure safety, and empower women and children in the community.
