Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, June 11, 2025: As part of the routine administrative review, Thoothukudi District Superintendent of Police, Mr. Albert John IPS, conducted the annual inspection at Airal Police Station on Tuesday. The inspection focused on multiple operational and administrative aspects of the station, with a strong emphasis on service standards and public interface.
During the inspection, SP Albert John carried out a kit inspection, verifying the personal equipment and readiness of police personnel. He also meticulously reviewed important case files, official documents, station registers, and other records to assess procedural compliance and documentation standards.
The Superintendent of Police took the opportunity to issue key instructions to the station staff. He emphasized the importance of:
- Courteous and respectful behavior towards members of the public who approach the station with grievances.
- Ensuring that the receptionist issues an acknowledgment slip (reception slip) to every complainant upon filing a petition, thereby promoting accountability and transparency in complaint handling.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the entire station premises as part of improving the working environment and public perception.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Srivaikundam Sub-Division, Mr. Nireshkumar, along with other officers and staff members of the Airal Police Station, accompanied the District SP during the inspection.
