Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, Sept 20, 2025: The Tirunelveli District Police have arrested Kalaiyarasan (20), son of Ayothi, of Madathupatti, Keezhat Street, Thevarkulam, for posting a video with controversial verses on Instagram aimed at inciting conflict between two groups.
The case was registered by Thevarkulam Police Sub-Inspector Luke Asan, and the accused has been taken into custody. Steps are being taken to remand him to judicial custody.
The Tirunelveli District Superintendent of Police, Sri N. Silambarasan, IPS, stated that the police are closely monitoring social media platforms to prevent misuse that threatens public peace and harmony. He warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone posting or circulating such inflammatory content.
This action underscores the Tirunelveli Police’s commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring communal harmony.
