South Tripura: A case was registered on 23.12.2018 at 4.05 pm on the basis of a written complaint of the complainant namely Mr. Hirday Hossain(18) S/O Lt. Mamtaj of Tebaria Muslim Para against the accused person namely Basu Miah(28) S/O Mr. Japan Miah of Tebaria Muslim Para that on 19.12.2018 at 2 pm while the mother of the complainant was returning from Tebaria village at that time the accused assaulted upon the mother of the complainant while hearing shouting the neighbors reached the spot but the accused fled away with one golden chain from the neck of the mother of the complainant which weighed approximately 1.5 vari. Due to the assault, the mother of the complainant received grievous injurious. Therefore the local people shifted her to Chottahola hospital for treatment and are now undergoing treatment.
On 25.1.2022 the Ld CMJ Belonia, South Tripura announced the judgment that the accused Basu Miah(28) is pled guilty and is hereby accepted and convicted. The court has convicted the accused to pay a fine of Rs.500/- for the offense committed U/S 323 of the IPC in default to suffer simple imprisonment of 5 days and the convict is further sentenced to pay Rs.500/-for the offense committed U/S 341 of IPC in default to suffer imprisonment of another 5 days. Both the sentence shall run concurrently if not tended the fine money. The case was investigated by S. I Mr. Sanjoy Das now IC Inspector of P R Bari Police Station.
