Udupi, Karnataka, October 28, 2025: As part of Cyber Awareness Month, a Cyber Safety Awareness Program was organized at the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Alevur, Pragati Nagar, under the jurisdiction of Manipal Police Station.
During the event, students and faculty members took a cyber-safety pledge, reaffirming their commitment to using the internet responsibly and securely. The initiative aimed to educate young learners on safe digital practices, prevention of cyber frauds, and responsible use of social media.
Police officials emphasized the importance of vigilance against online scams, data theft, and cyber bullying, and encouraged participants to report any suspicious online activities to the police through the Cyber Crime Helpline 1930 or the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal is ([www.cybercrime.gov.in](http://www.cybercrime.gov.in)).
The event highlighted the continued efforts of Udupi District Police in promoting digital literacy, cyber hygiene, and public awareness as part of their proactive community policing initiatives.
