Rachakonda: On 13-12-2020 at 09.26 PM, Uppal Police station received a Dial-100 call from Rachakonda Control Room stating that one person is attempting to commit suicide in the Ramanthapur area who also posted a live video on Facebook by the said person. On that, the IT cell staff traced out the location of the said person and informed the same to Uppal Police at about 09.45 pm and based on that information immediately the Peter-1 in charge Mr. A Narsing Rao, PC-8865, Ms. K. Sangeetha, WPC-11286 and driver Mr. Srinivas under the supervision of NRO Ms. J.Chandana, WSI rushed to the spot situated at RTC Colony, Ramanthapur and found him with minor tentative cuts on his left-hand wrist in the house and rescued him in time and immediately shifted him to ADRM Hospital Ramanthapur for treatment and on inquiry came to know his identity as Boga Ravikanth Netha S/o Late Dayakar, aged 31 years, Occupation: Photographer, Caste: Padmashali, resident of RTC Colony, Ramanthapur, Cell No. 7780192092 and is also a member of Telangana Asad Force (TAF).
Boga Ravikanth Netha belongs to a well-settled family and his elder brother lives in the United States, his mother and sister’s family resides in Kukatpally. His family supported his dream of becoming a photographer and provided cameras for establishing his achievement but he got addicted to consume alcohol for which within no time he sold out the cameras and in depression he took the step of committing suicide and posted the live video on Facebook on 13.12.2020 in the late evening hours at his room situated at RTC Colony, Ramanthapur where he is staying alone.
The Uppal Police with the assistance of the IT cell has rescued the Boga Ravikanth Nethe from committing suicide at his room situated at RTC Colony, Ramanthapur, and after providing treatment handed over him to his cousin brother Santosh Kumar.
The Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS. appreciated the Police staff for their response in a short duration and given cash reward to the entire team.
