Telangana, Warangal: Warangal Police Commissioner Sunpreet Singh on Friday commended two dedicated police constables for their remarkable commitment to saving lives through regular blood donation. The felicitation ceremony took place at the Indian Red Cross Society, Subedari, in honor of World Red Cross Day.
Constable Kanne Raju, popularly known as “Swimmer Raju,” was recognized for voluntarily donating blood an impressive 37 times, while Constable Ravinder from Kakatiya University Campus, currently serving in the Armour Reserve Division of Warangal Commissionerate, has donated blood 18 times.
The Red Cross Society representatives highlighted their contributions to the Commissioner, who praised their humanitarian spirit and selfless service. Certificates of appreciation were presented to both constables.
Commissioner Sunpreet Singh lauded the police personnel not only for maintaining law and order but also for leading by example in social responsibility. He urged more youth and fellow officers to follow in their footsteps, especially during the summer months of April and May when blood supplies typically run low.
“The dedication shown by Raju and Ravinder reflects the true spirit of service,” the Commissioner said. “Let their example inspire others to step forward and contribute to this life-saving cause.
