Sirsa: In the course of presiding over a meeting in Sirsa District, wherein discussions revolved around the critical issue of de-addiction, Mr. Shatrujeet Kapur, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and the Director General of Police for Haryana, articulated a significant directive. Addressing the assembled representatives of the Medical Association, he underscored the imperative for operators of medical stores to exercise utmost caution and responsibility in their dispensation of pharmaceuticals.
Mr. Kapur emphatically conveyed that the sale of banned medicines should be strictly avoided by these medical store operators. Moreover, he stressed the pivotal role they play in safeguarding public health by refraining from providing medications to individuals without a valid prescription from a duly authorized medical practitioner. This stringent adherence to prescription protocols, he emphasized, is integral to ensuring the responsible and legal distribution of pharmaceuticals, thereby contributing to the overall well-being of the community.
