Rangia: The Special Task Force (STF) successfully executed an anti-drug trafficking mission in Rangia, Kamrup district, Assam, seizing narcotics valued at Rs 2.5 crore.
The operation, spearheaded by Additional Superintendent of Police Kalyan Kumar Pathak, targeted and confiscated approximately 10,000 Yaba tablets, a highly addictive substance, concealed within the dashboard of a Maruti Alto vehicle registered as WB D 7907.
Furthermore, the operation resulted in the apprehension of three individuals—Rashidul Mia, Nayan Mia, and Imran Hussain—who were involved in procuring and distributing the seized Yaba tablets.
The STF’s prompt and decisive actions underscore its commitment to upholding the rule of law and safeguarding the welfare of society, working towards a drug-free Assam.
